Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Hanukkah, also known as Festival of Lights or Chanukah, is a Jewish religious observance that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the 2nd century B.C. It begins approximately around Nov. 28 and runs for eight days until Dec. 6. During each day, those who celebrate the holiday add and light a candle on the candelabrum for communal celebration.
