WEBVTT 00:01.140 --> 00:03.084 So we're here to exercise Northern 00:03.084 --> 00:05.360 Strike up in the upper peninsula of 00:05.370 --> 00:08.080 Michigan . We today we just conducted 00:08.080 --> 00:10.180 some joint combat search and rescue 00:10.180 --> 00:13.800 training . That's the military's 00:13.810 --> 00:15.970 training that we put in to make sure 00:15.970 --> 00:19.560 that we are prepared and ready 00:19.570 --> 00:22.370 to go down and recover any sort of 00:22.380 --> 00:24.540 isolated person . Um No matter what 00:24.540 --> 00:27.550 situation it is , the fact that we're 00:27.550 --> 00:29.620 really far out here into some pretty 00:29.620 --> 00:32.370 remote wilderness does pose its own own 00:32.380 --> 00:35.680 challenges , but it also affords us the 00:35.680 --> 00:38.620 ability to really increase the realism 00:38.630 --> 00:42.360 of the training our army aviation 00:42.740 --> 00:44.796 people out here participating in the 00:44.796 --> 00:47.018 exercises who were who were playing the 00:47.018 --> 00:49.184 survivors on the ground . Um the whole 00:49.184 --> 00:51.018 exercise was kind of planned and 00:51.018 --> 00:53.350 orchestrated by the Air Force and then 00:53.360 --> 00:55.582 we also had a force aircraft in support 00:55.582 --> 00:57.693 of this . And then we also managed to 00:57.693 --> 00:59.860 get some Marine Corps aircraft as well 00:59.940 --> 01:02.107 when you come at it with that approach 01:02.107 --> 01:04.273 that you really tend to take away more 01:04.273 --> 01:06.384 from the experience because you learn 01:06.384 --> 01:08.551 what works for other branches and what 01:08.551 --> 01:10.662 doesn't work . And then we're able to 01:10.662 --> 01:10.650 put all that together . And each time I 01:10.650 --> 01:12.817 feel that we do this , we move forward 01:12.817 --> 01:14.983 and become better at combat search and 01:14.983 --> 01:14.760 rescue .
