Captain THOMAS H. DRUMMOND

Capt. Thomas H. Drummond is the commander of the 182nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, Illinois. He leads personnel responsible for supporting the sustainment and operations of Peoria’s C-130H Hercules aircraft.

Capt. Drummond enlisted in the Illinois Air National Guard in September 2005 as an aircraft maintenance specialist. Following his initial training, he served as a flightline maintenance crew chief, expediter and supervisor on C-130H aircraft over 14 enlisted years before he was selected to commission through Officer Training School, graduating in March 2019. He has extensive airlift maintenance experience from three deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve. Additionally, Capt. Drummond has participated in Operations Silver Arrow and Coronet Oak, and the U.S. European Command State Partnership Program in Poland.

In his civilian capacity, Capt. Drummond was a professional firefighter and paramedic for more than 14 years. Prior to his current position, the captain was the commander of the 182nd Maintenance Operations Flight, Peoria, Illinois.
