Community leadership school experiences military at Ill. ANG base
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ryan M. Miller, aircrew flight equipment specialist with the 182nd Operations Support Squadron, explains the BA-22 parachute to participants with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership School at the 182nd Airlift Wing in Peoria, Ill., Feb. 28, 2014. Approximately 42 CLS participants visited the Illinois Air National Guard base to hear wing leadership speak about leadership in the military. They also toured the base’s C-130 Hercules hangar and saw hands-on displays of weapons, aircrew flight gear, and equipment used by battlefield Airmen. The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership School participated in the community relations tour as part of its mission to inspire a higher level of community awareness in the development of community leaders.
