The aftermath of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Ian Berhringer’s Repeat Chili is seen after the sixth-annual chili cook off at the 182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, Ill., Jan. 8, 2014. The competition placed 13 contestants and their homemade chili recipes against each other to compete for best look and smell, best consistency, and best taste. Behringer, a guidance and control shop chief with the Maintenance Squadron, won in the best taste category and the people’s choice award for his recipe. The event brought out approximately 120 unit members to sample the various white and traditional red entries, and raised $490 in support of operating the wing’s consolidated club.
